Occupy LA

The Occupy movement that is spreading around the country seemed like a good idea.  The problem is that there is no one consistent message.  Perhaps that will evolve but now it is chaos.  I spent two hours walking around Los Angeles City Hall yesterday and spoke to six people.  Each had a different idea about the movement.  The city council has voted its support and the mayor provided rain slicks to everyone on the lawn when we received a surprise ¾” of rain last week.

The area was clean and neat.  The city provided portable toilets that were staged around the city hall.  There was a library, food and a first aid station.  No one was doing anything that the average person would consider illegal.  I saw no police stationed around or near the city hall.

Without a clear consistent message this effort will accomplish nothing.
