Is there some political significance to this? You bet there is and that frightens Donald Trump and the GOP.   The Electoral College could enable Trump to win a second term and again lose the popular vote.

  1. The Founding Fathers saw this coming and created the Electoral College, so the gray areas would have a vote that counted. Removing the Electoral College would give us a country ruled by NY & CA forever. No thanks.
