Donald Trump is a Prevaricator

It is obvious to most of us that Donald Trump repeatedly stretches the truth and is a deceiver and trickster. What do you call someone who does that? The answer is prevaricator. He is Pinocchio live.

The Free Dictionary definition of prevaricator – a person who has lied or who lies repeatedly, liar, Beguiler, cheater, deceiver, trickster, slicker, cheat – someone who leads you to believe something that is not true.

But to be fair I decided to check Merriam-Webster that offered almost the same word for word definition but provided these synonyms

Hitler led the German people into a war because the sycophants were mesmerized. I fear the same thing can happen here in America.

Contradictions – The Great Manipulator

 

President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence both called Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp on Tuesday night and expressed support and praise for the Republican’s move to reopen businesses in his state starting Friday, a source familiar with the call said. Trump later said the opposite — that he told Kemp he disagreed “strongly” with the decision.

Why would Trump do this?  If there is no resurgence of covid-19 he will claim that he was the wise one to recommend opening of all businesses.  If there is a resurgence of the disease he will say he warned governors not allow businesses to reopen.  He’ll deny he said anything that was contradictory.  His supporters will give him a pass for anything said that contradicts his words.  And he will get away with it!

Will the public remember these things at the ballot box in November?  If the economy is in a recession in November that might deny him a second term.  Then again his supporters seem to be willing to give him a pass no matter what he says or does.  Pretty scary.

Coronavirus Deaths by Nation

Sadly the United States is the country with the most deaths, 26,064 and the most cases of this disease.  Italy is second and China has had 3,342 deaths.  While the number of cases word wide now exceeds 2 million, the United States also leads that number at over 640,000.

Our institutions have failed to protect our population.  Lack of leadership at the top is to blame.  Donald Trump can try to lay the blame elsewhere but he claims total authority when he comes to claiming a success.  When things don’t work out it’s always some one else’s fault.

The Failing Joe Biden Presidential Campaign

The Los Angeles Times offered an update of the Joe Biden campaign and it clearly pointed out that he has become irrelevant in today’s battle against the coronavirus. Donald Trump has a daily soap box with his updates seen by everyone on-line and on cable television.  Although those updates are filled with lies and wishful thinking where is Joe?  He should be countering Trump but he isn’t. I see nothing telling viewers anything about Mr. Biden.  Biden’s daily updates are not being reported on any news sites. A studio in Biden’s home is a wonderful idea but unless we see announcements of about his presentations and interviews it is all meaningless. Meanwhile Donald Trump is looking presidential.

I’m not alone in my observations. David Plouffe, Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign manager, has warned the Biden “Up your campaign, now!”

Coronavirus Confusion – Making America Great Again

Doctor Trump know best. Except he really isn’t a doctor.

Lagos, Nigeria (CNN)Health officials in Nigeria have issued a warning over chloroquine after they said three people in the country overdosed on the drug, in the wake of President Trump’s comments about using it to treat coronavirus.

Washington Post reported that a man and wife in Arizona to chloroquine. He died. she is hospitalized in serious condition.

Now the president is more concerned with the state of the economy than the health of the citizens of this country. It is evident that he intends to tell us that the emergency is over and we should all go back to work. Will anyone be listening?

Goodbye Donald Trump – You Are Not Forgiven

Donald Trump, you want to be re-elected. I’m sorry to tell you this but you have failed to protect the citizens of this country. Even today with the coronavirus spreading you are still saying things that are lies and offering misleading information.

Americans know when their president has failed at his job. President Herbert Hoover presided over the Wall Street crash in 1929 that led to the Great Depression. President Jimmy Carter presided over 10% interest rates, high inflation, and the Iran hostage debacle. President Gerald Ford pardoned Richard Nixon. President George Herbert Walker Bush presided over high unemployment. All four of those presidents were not elected to a second term.

According to you the coronavirus was a Democratic Party hoax. Then it was a disease that would quickly go away effecting very few people. Then it was a disease that would go away quickly in a few months as warmer weather of spring came. Finally it has become a disease that could last 18 months or more.

It’s now become known that you dismantled a National Security directorate at the White House in 2018 that was charged with preparing for a pandemic. You also proposed cuts to the CDC as reported by ABC News. “I was mystified when the White House dissolved the office, leaving the country less prepared for pandemics like COVID-19,” Beth Cameron, the first director of the unit, wrote in an op-ed in The Washington Post.

As “stable genius” like you, you should have no trouble resolving the rising unemployment numbers (new claims have already risen by 70,000) and a stock market that has fallen by over 20%. Or maybe not.

Your latest idea of buying shares of private companies is a brilliant idea if you believe in socialism. Oh, wait, you are opposed to that. What will you call it?

Goodbye. Good riddance.  Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders

Frankly Bernie Sanders beat the hell out of Joe Biden.  What is worse is that Biden didn’t seem to know it had happened.

The question for me about Joe is his mental acuity. He has had a history of not being able to address facts and respond quickly.  While his responses were reasonable his answers to the positons he has taken in the past are troubling. Sanders hit Biden on his voting record and his positions.  That is exactly what Kamala Harris in the first debate.

If you think Sanders was tough on Biden what do you think Trump will do to Biden? Trump will attack Biden on his son’s job in Ukraine. Everything that Sanders brought up will be emphasized by Trump.

Joe is a nice man but in a debate against Trump he is just too slow. Joe Biden will be mincemeat.
