Words from Trump Appointees in His First Term in Office

From former Vice President Pence to Bill Barr, former Attorney General these are quotations worth readings.

“Anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be president of the United States . . . President Trump demanded that I Choose between him and the Constitution.”

Mike Pence, Vice President

.

“He puts himself before country. His actions are all about him and not about the country.”

Mark Esper, Secretary of Defense

.

“THE DEPTHS OF HIS DISHONESTY IS JUST ASTOUNDING. TO ME … HE IS HE MOST FLAWED PERSON I HAVE EVER MET IN MY LIFE.”

John Kelly, Secretary of Homeland and White House Chief of Staff

.

“His understanding Of global events, his understanding of global history, his understanding of U.S. history was really limited.”

Rex Tillerson, Secretary of State

.

“He will always put his own interests, and gratifying his own ego, ahead of everything else, including the country’s interests.”

Bill Barr, Attorney General

.

“President Trump and other officials have repeatedly compromised our principles in pursuit of partisan advantage and personal gain.”

H. R. McMaster, National Security Adviser

.

“Trump has this impression that foreign leaders, especially adversaries, hold him in high regard, that he got a good relationship with Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un. In fact, the exact opposite is true. I have been in those rooms with him when he’s met with those leaders. I believe they think he is a laughing fool.”

John Bolton, National Security Adviser

.

“THE PRESIDENT HAS VERY LITTLE UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IT MEANS TO BE IN THE MILITARY, TO FIGHT ETHICALLY OR TO BE GOVERNED BY A UNIFORM SET OF RULES AND PRACTICES.”

Richard V. Spencer, Security of the Navy

.

“He is more dangerous than anyone could imagine.”

James Mattis, Secretary of Defense

It’s called Intimidation

Donald Trump was in the court room for his fraud trial in New York. He sneered and glared at New York Attorney General Letitia James as he passed her on his way out at lunchtime; she, by turn, left smiling.

That will be Trump’s likely method at all the trials he faces and of course his name calling.

“Asa Hutchinson, I call him Ada … the guy has zero, why would be on stage,” Trump said before insulting former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who he called “sloppy Chris Christie.”

“He’s like a deranged person, he suffers from Trump derangement syndrome,” Trump said.

He also called out former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, calling her “bird brain.”

And we all know that Trump calls Ron DeSantis Ron Desanctimonius.

Trump is 6′ 3″ and weighs 243 lbs. So he is a big man. Between his size and his behavior he is an intimidating person.

Happily Jack Smith, Special Counsel, has a career that spans multiple stints in the Justice Department and international courts, which until his appointment had allowed him to keep a relatively low profile in the oftentimes brassy legal industry.

Trump himself repeatedly denounced Smith in speeches and on social media, calling him “deranged” and a “psycho.”

I doubt Smith will be intimidated.

Orange is Power! Or is Orange the New Black?

Because it’s associated with optimism and energy, many brands use orange to convey a message of positivity. If you’re looking to get your audience excited about something, go for orange. It’s an attention-grabbing, warm color that really pops when combined with cool blue or green tones.

The Orange Man believes in his heart that he is above the law and can do whatever he wants. It is not just holding and sharing secret documents. While Trump is entitled to the presumption of innocence like any other American, the indictment appears to underscore his personal belief that the law does not apply to him and that he has the power to do exactly as he likes. That behavior defined his administration and post-White House life.

Late last year, Trump called for the “termination” of the Constitution, including all “rules, regulations and articles.” And he’s pledged on day one of a new administration to direct the DOJ to “investigate every radical district attorney and attorney general in America” for what he claims is the illegal and racist enforcement of the law. Trump has already pleaded not guilty to falsifying business records – charges that arose from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s investigation of a hush money scheme. And he’s waiting to hear whether he will be charged in another special counsel investigation into the run-up to January 6, 2021, and a separate investigation into his attempt to overturn President Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory in Georgia led by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

After blue my favorite color is orange. Can the bright Florida sunshine bring an end to madness? A unanimous twelve man jury in each indictment will be required and that is very difficult to achieve. In conservative Florida the evidence will have to be overwhelming.

I am not betting on any guilty verdicts. I hope I am wrong.

Melania Trump is filing for a Divorce from Donald Trump

It was reported in 2021 in a candid interview with New Yorker magazine guaranteed to make headlines, Melania Trump revealed that she wished she could get a divorce “just by thinking about it.”

While stressing that she had no plans to divorce her husband, Mrs. Trump said that doing so would require “a lot more than having the idea in my head.”

The situation has changed as a result of the indictment of Donald. It has now been reported that she will file for divorce within a week of his formal surrender in a court in New York City. Most newspapers will not report on the divorce filing until after Trump’s surrender.

Trump calls for the termination of the Constitution

A madman dreams of being the supreme leader of the United States. His children and grandchildren would go on to rule this country.

Donald Trump dreams of becoming president for life. No voting is necessary because he believes he is entitled to hold the presidency until the day he dies. The former President Donald Trump on Saturday evening doubled down on his calls to “terminate” the United States Constitution and restore him to power.

Like any dictator he says whatever he wants and he gets it. His admiration for Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jong-un is because they have absolute power. Military parades are a sign of power and he wanted one in Washington D.C. but was told the tanks and other military hardware would tear up the streets and so he relented.

Trump’s problem is he seems to really believe that the 2020 election was rigged. He doesn’t know how it was accomplished but really doesn’t care. As a spoiled brat as a child who was given everything he wanted he just can’t accept reality.

There are plenty of adult Republicans who have told him to accept reality and move on but it is not a reality he will accept. Unfortunately there remains a large minority of Republicans who have bought his claims of victory. Kari Lake, the failed GOP candidate for governor of Arizona is the best example of someone who has bought Trump’s nonsense.

Can you imagine if Trump wins the election in 2024. What would happen four years hence? He would want to overturn the Constitution and run for a third term.

Sadly USA Today reports “Republican leaders mostly silent over Donald Trump’s call to suspend the Constitution.”

The success of Jack Smith and Merrick Garland are our best hope of saving this democracy.

Donald Trump is one of them

On Friday, former president Donald Trump denied knowing who white supremacist and antisemite Nick Fuentes was after Axios reported that he dined with the noted racist and rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.

Donald Trump’s ambassador to Israel on Friday condemned his meeting with two men notorious for spreading anti-Semitism in America.

The two were  Kanye West and white nationalist Nick Fuentes.  Trump has claimed there was no discussion about Jews and he did not know that Fuentes is a Holocaust denier.

Trumps only ambassador to Israel, Ambassador David Friedman, addressed the scandal on Twitter.

“To my friend Donald Trump, you are better than this,” claimed Friedman, who did not resign after Trump’s fine people on both sides remarks following the fatal “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville.

“Even a social visit from an antisemite like Kanye West and human scum like Nick Fuentes is unacceptable,” Friedman wrote. “I urge you to throw those bums out, disavow them and relegate them to the dustbin of history where they belong.”

“Antisemites deserve no quarter among American leaders, right or left,” he wrote.

Friedman was Trump’s only ambassador to Israel and he served until the end of his administration on Jan. 20, 2021.

The question is why would Trump associate himself with people who are known antisemites?

You know the answer.

Donald Trump “Give me freedom or give me death”

The former leader of the free world lashed out on Thursday at one of the prosecutors investigating alleged misconduct.

“This case should be dismissed immediately, and the large, highly paid and ‘prestigious’ accounting firm that we relied on to do their job, but didn’t, should pay us a fortune in damages,” Trump said.

As he often does, he labeled the investigation “a total witch hunt!”

Two minutes later, he returned to Truth Social to post the quote, “Give me freedom or give me death.”

Let’s give him death if that is required to sustain the American democracy. We could put him on the gallows that was built to hang Mike Pence.

What a delightful way to end Donald Trump’s efforts.

The gallows built to hang Mike Pence

The New York Post Cracked the Egg!

The cover of Rupert Murdoch’s New York Post is printing a Thursday cover with an egg-shaped Trump on a brick wall with the headline, “Trumpty Dumpty.” The sub-headline said “Don (who couldn’t build a wall) had a great fall — can all the GOP’s men put the party back together again?” The New York Post cracked the egg!

May be a cartoon of one or more people, people standing and text that says 'NEW YORK POST METRO EDITION $2.00 Don (who couldn't build a wall) had a great fall can all the GOP's men put the party back together again? TRUMPTY ரயாா் DUMPTY umnist Piers PAGES'
