Both Democrats and Republicans will come away from tonight’s debate saying their man won. The president’s knowledge of the finite details of foreign policy and the military capabilities of our nation gave him a leg up. But Mr. Romney looked presidential. I did notice one mannerism of Mr. Romney’s that was apparent in all three debates. He talks like the boss in a staff meeting (I know because I have been a participant in such meetings).
Some have said that the president was combative or defensive in his presentation. Let’s be clear. He has four years to defend. He did a good job in his defense.
Obama’s reference to underwater ships was definitely sarcastic.
It is unlikely that anything said tonight will change anyone’s vote. The last two weeks of this campaign will probably be very nasty. Each side will paint the other as the worst things that can happen to the country. Negative campaigning works. Since I live in California I won’t be hearing any of it. Now if us Californians can just decide which initiatives are worthy of a yes vote.

After the last 3 debates, i didn’t even bother watching. Its all a big show and nothing of any substance will be declared. The loser in this debacle has to be the people. I know that i am always in defense of the president, and i still will vote for him, but both of these men came across as actors on a stage and less like men that cared about the needs of the people. The last thing we need is more years of war, and i am even more convinced that is what will happen if the GOP duo of poverty are allowed to gain the presidents seat. Although i didn’t watch it, i already have seen many parts of it and did like the reference to horses, it did provide a good laugh, and thats the problem, it boiled down for many people (facebook and every site i can think of) the good laugh is what they remember. I hope so much that we as a people can continue to keep our eyes on what is going on and continue to try to reclaim our government from corporate dollar. Good posting as always peace
I can’t Romney looked presidential. He seems fairly out of his element with what appeared to be much rehearsed/repeated mini-speeches rather than answers to thought out answers to questions. I’m sure that’s the case with these things, a number of well rehearsed speeches but of course delivery is important and Romney’s just seemed too recited.
Mr. Romney has a serious case of flip-flopping. Before tonight’s debate he has been calling for more intervention in Syria and a stronger stance on Iran that implied war. In this debate he was a tepid and almost identical version of the president. There is his problem. Name an issue and he has changed his voiced opinion. What would he do if elected? He has to win the office for us to know.
